ABBY UPDATE: 7.17.2007
We have driven Wolf River Fashion (Or 'Abby' as she's known around the barn ) in a serious manner since April of this year, hoping to get her going along well enough to try our hand a showing her. She has done really well through all of this; Finally not offering to rear up in harness, and moving forward happily. She's been doing so wonderfully! We took her to two shows so far, and she's learned that it is alright if another horse wants to pass her when she is going tooooooooooo slowly, and that its fine to look around, but remember to Keep Trotting. :) She's done so well in fact, we won two 5th place ribbons and a third. I'm so proud of my little black mare who has had nothing but positive remarks from the judges and people who met her at those shows. We're taking a short break now to polish up our skills, AND to get some more conditioning done as Abby was a little fatty when we first began working with her. Glenn has been there every time giving me pointers that I don't see when driving her, and Abby is improving all the time.
Here are a couple of photos of her at her two whole shows !

Wolf River Fashion, aka "Abby" was a Christmas gift from my husband in 2003. His surprise was that we would go to the PA Draft Horse Sale, and what ever horse I chose would be mine !! It was this little black mare that I fell in love with almost instantly................Little did I realize the great horse she could become.
