Driving Lessons for the Beginner Whip

  Driving lessons available at WoodFinn as well. Again, one hour private lessons offered. I show & explain to you how to harness properly and adjust harnesses according to the shape & size of your horse. Hitching instructions as well. Problem shooting is taught. Safety, of course is a big part of driving. You learn how to judge distances, guide your horse around a series of cones and possibly learn to take a 'trip to town'.

 You will learn to drive one horse hitched to a cart... if you choose, once that is accomplished you can begin to learn to handle a team of two Percherons. This is NOT a simple thing, therefore, you must be efficient at driving a single horse prior to this. We teach singles first, because horses can get out of control easily when being driven. Therefore, you need the miles and experience of handling one horse before moving on to two.

I also am available to come to your farm to help you with YOUR horse. This usually works out well because you learn to handle your horses' problems, not have your horse learn only to listen to a trainer.
