Welcome to our farm. I'm Kris, and my husband is Glenn...
Our farm is nestled in the mountains of central Pennsylvania. On our 15 acres of hillside, my husband and I raise Percheron horses. At this time we have four Percherons , a wonderful Clydesdale mare, one old Appaloosa mare and our very ancient 46 yr old pony .'Petey', our American Bulldog is the official greeter of the farm and the cats; well we hope they're busy catching mice !
We offer riding lessons for beginner riders as well as driving lessons. Never driven a horse before ? Its exciting to learn while holding the lines to a one ton pure Percheron horse! These lessons are all private, so if you make mistakes, and all horse people do, we'll chuckle together.
Sadly, we no longer offer Carriage Rides for weddings or other wonderful affairs. The liability insurance got to expensive, and there are seemingly to many bad drivers out there not paying attention to a large,horse n' Big white carriage traveling down a road. Also, our mare is older now, as we are and it was simply to much work. We decided this winter that 2007 would be our last year offering carriage rides,etc. We are Still in the horse business, just no more carriage for hire !
Full board for your horse is offered at our wonderful farm.. Quality care for your four legged pal. 12x13' box stalls, Daily turnout on pasture. We supply the best feeds, fresh mixed hay and lots of water in addition to daily stall cleanings, relaxed surroundings in a quiet, country setting. 40 years of experience concerning the care, conditioning and training of horses.... You can rest easy, knowing your " best friend" is safe and happy !
