Riding Lessons Available
We offer one hour private lessons for the beginning rider. We also cater to those adults who are getting back into riding after time off. Learning to ride at WoodFinn is relaxing, and FUN !
Your child will receive private, one-on-one instruction, without the distraction and chaos of a group of students.
Enjoyable, relaxing lessons with a qualified, professional instructor. Our lessons are not like the average ones... we teach 'Horsemanship' as well as learning to ride. This means that you will not only be riding, but learning about horse parts, diseases, soundnesses and unsoundnesses,etc. They are required to properly groom, tack up, warm up, cool out and provide after riding care for their horse. Assistance will be provided until the student becomes competent at performing these tasks alone.
We have two rings in one: 2 riding areas, and when the two side gates are opened, a 1/8th mile jog track as well.The lesson horses are all incredibly safe and quiet, but they ARE horses.
You will be taught how to control situations so they stay under control,learn to face problems a horse may think of trying, thus becoming a wise and happy horse person.
